My daughter is huge into Polly Pockets & she really likes this boat. I LOVED the fact that you opened one box ... and there was the entire toy - no cutting/untwisting wires, undoing rubberbands or separating plastic parts. She could play with it right away. I understand why this type of packing wouldn't be available in stores ... to easy to steal parts - but I loved having it ordered and allowing my child to play with it the minute she saw it. It didn't go in the "to open" pile with her frustrated because she couldn't play with it yet. I hope more products are offered like this!

My 7yo got this for Xmas and it was her favorite present, she really loves it and gets lots of imaginative play from it. We also got another Polly Pocket (Sparklin' Pet Mobile) and this was a complete disaster and falls apart whenever you touch it, so I can understand some other reviews about the flimsy nature of this product range. Needs gentle hands.

The only thing I think is a bit of a buzz kill is the plain cardboard box. I know my kids love to look at the glossy pictures of the toys on the box with various poses and stage scenes. This gives the kids an idea of what the toy is all about. I would think twice before giving my daughter the polly pocket boat with just the boat and pieces in a baggie, she may not understand that it is a real nice toy, not some cheap mail order product from Lillian Vernon.
Why not add a few pictures on the box?

My daughter received this gift for Christmas when she was 5. She loves it. She has lots of fun setting it up and making sure everything is in its place. I love it because everything folds up and goes out of the way for easy storage.
